Atelier M is a 3-level restaurant, lounge, and rooftop bar located in Dubai Marina, UAE. Designed by Kristina Zanic Design Consultants, this establishment offers a unique and unforgettable dining experience. The design of Atelier M is characterized by its visually stimulating elements and an ambiance of elegance and sophistication.

The arrival experience at Atelier M is truly remarkable. Backlit, onyx-clad lift lobbies layered with custom-designed screens create a sense of anticipation and excitement. As guests step into the lounge, they are greeted by an open kitchen overlooking a glamorous dining room adorned with crystal chandeliers and beveled mirror columns. The warm, amber glow of the onyx bar in the lounge softens the angular forms of the massive, multi-faceted mirror feature. An elevator sits secretly within the central feature, ready to whisk guests to the rooftop.

The rooftop of Atelier M offers a striking contrast to the lower levels. Black and white geometric flooring creates a bold statement, while a vibrant color-changing glass bar adds a touch of vibrancy and modernity. The rooftop provides a breathtaking view of Dubai Marina, making it the perfect spot for a memorable evening.

The design of Atelier M is a complex illusion of facets and forms based on simple geometry. The mirror shards in the impressive central feature are supported by simple timber and steel framing, which also serves as the lift core of the private elevator. The angled onyx façade of the bar, installed piece by piece, is detailed with a striking polished stainless steel angle. Classic herringbone floors complement the decadent metal screens and geometric patterns of mirror wall paneling throughout the interior.

With an approximate total area of 2000 square meters over three different levels, Atelier M is a testament to the creativity and innovation of Kristina Zanic Design Consultants. The project posed several challenges, including establishing a concept that was new for Dubai and balancing elegance and sophistication with a sense of old-world decadence for the modern age. The success of Atelier M lies in its ability to maintain the original concept and design intent.

Atelier M has received recognition for its outstanding design. In 2014, it was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category.
